With ever smaller staffing teams and pressure for value, the acquisitions role is no longer to just provide the access, or put the physical book on the shelf. Our data led systems allow us to conduct even greater analysis of engagement and usage and present it in a meaningful way, exploring how our users engage with our libraries, and just as importantly, where they don't.
This session will be very conscious to cover both Public and Academic libraries, searching out for some new ideas that may cross-over, and highlighting where AI could help crunch some of that data. What data drives your decisions and where does that come from? Bring your challenges and your solutions to share!
We will also be using this session as a trial of a new feature for Coffee and Chat; creating a summary online for those who can’t make it on the day. The anonymity of the C+C session is still very much in place, this is just expanding the documents that we have used previously into a more accessible format – sharing links, sharing concepts and ideas…but absolutely maintaining the Chatham House Rules. If you have any queries regarding this before the event, please contact us via ‘Ask Us’.
