Webinar: Books acquisition in the (new) era of digital education
June 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
In February of this year, ProQuest surveyed higher education academic libraries in the UK about the books acquisition market trends regarding budgets, purchasing decisions, acquisition model and supplier decisions. Since that time, institutions have seen a dramatic shift in purchasing following the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on the education sector.
The survey provides context and insight on the challenges that libraries in the UK faced in March this year with the swift transition to online and distance learning. The survey findings offer an opportunity to identify insights that can help librarians plan their next books collection development strategy differently, budget in a new way, and more.
Please join us for this session as we look at the survey findings and discuss how the current market situation is impacting priorities for approaches to book purchasing and methods of procurement among UK academic libraries.
Speaker: Zoe Loveland, Sr Director Regional Marketing
A recording will be available to those registered and to NAG members after the event. There is no limit on number of attendees so please encourage your colleagues to also join this webinar.
