BIC RFID Privacy in Libraries Toolkit
We’re delighted to report that the BIC RFID Privacy Task & Finish Working Group has now released a draft toolkit to provide information on RFID Privacy for librarians (both public and academic), library suppliers and library systems vendors. This toolkit includes the draft BIC RFID Privacy Code of Practice and Policy documents, 2 poster templates which are intended to help libraries to inform their patrons about the potential risks associated with RFID tags, and a brief document containing some suggested text which libraries can use on their websites, in their emails to library customers and/or on RFID Kiosk receipts.
To receive your copies of these documents, please register on BIC’s website here: http://eepurl.com/cXhI61
If you register, you will also receive updates on RFID Privacy and the EU mandates that may come into legislation in due course.
