“We are seeking two Resources Supervisors to join the busy Collections Services team at the University of Reading Library. These two posts will work together to supervise staff and processes involved in resource acquisition within the team.

The Library has recently undergone a multimillion-pound refurbishment, providing a vibrant and engaging environment for our users. You will be part of a large team, focused on delivering an excellent service to our student and research community by providing timely access to resources. These posts offer a great opportunity to gain valuable experience of the acquisitions and online reading list process as well as staff supervision and training responsibilities.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • The skills required to effectively line manage staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An awareness of resource provision in the Higher Education environment
  • Experience of delivering effective staff training and/or supervision
  • A high level of attention to detail
